Our story began in 2021 when Barbara Hobbs and Lesa Beatty crossed paths and discovered they shared a vision of creating an accounting practice that would not only serve clients but also foster an environment where staff and community could flourish. Their complementary skills and shared dedication to excellence laid the foundation for what would become BHB Financial Services.
In 2024, Barbara and Lesa partnered to launch BHB Financial Services, bringing a fresh approach to accounting in Oklahoma City. As a proudly woman-owned firm, we’re committed to doing things differently. Our goal is to provide personalized, high-quality services in bookkeeping, payroll, and taxes while also prioritizing the people behind the numbers—our clients, our team, and our community.

Barbara Hobbs, Partner
Barbara is our Accountant Extraordinaire. She is an Oklahoma native and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her Bachelor’s in Accounting. She brings over forty years of experience in accounting, payroll and financial statement analysis. Her experience spans a wide range of industries including oil and gas, manufacturing, medicine, film production, finance, and marketing. Barbara greatly enjoys forming a business relationship with her clients so that she can assist in their business endeavors.
When not working Barbara loves spending time with family, especially chasing her grandson.

Lesa Beatty, Partner
Lesa is our resident Tax Lady. She earned her Associate’s in Business at OCCC in 1994, and continued on to earn her Bachelor’s in Accounting from UCO in 1997. Over the past 32 years, her titles have included Accountant, Controller, CFO, CEO and Tax Manager. Her experience includes bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, HR, Income Taxes, managing and creating business. Additionally, her career included accounting for a Restaurant Group consisting of 25 restaurants in 4 States, and management of a Home Health Agency for almost 20 years. She created Beatty’s Accounting & Tax Service in 1995 focusing on tax return preparation. The business grew over the years while she continued working full-time in various industries including a tax manager for a mid-sized local CPA firm and on to a Big 8 national accounting firm.
Income taxes are like a puzzle that is very exciting to solve. After watching her own mother struggle with the stress of taxes, she knew it was an area she could work hard to excel and ease the anxiety over taxes that her mother experienced. She is also the proud mom of 2 amazing daughters. In her spare time, Lesa is an avid F1 fan and loves hanging out with her girls!

Virginia Anderson, Senior Accountant
Virginia is a CPA for BHB Financial Services with 8 years of experience in the accounting field. She earned both her Bachelor’s in Accounting and Master’s in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in “Doorant” Oklahoma.
Virginia’s most important focus in her career has been to utilize her education and skills to help others. This led her to work in a range of fields from tribal government to non-profit foundations. However, public accounting quickly became her main passion when she joined a local accounting firm four years ago and she has never looked back. Virginia has gained invaluable experience working alongside experienced CPA’s in the Oklahoma City area, as well as spending several years working for a Big 8 national accounting firm. She dedicates her time to tax services and financial statement preparations, as well as all of the smaller accounting services in between. Her greatest joy in work has been to help take stress of her small business clients so they can focus their energy on their operations, and to help empower individuals to understand their taxes and take charge of their financial health.
Most importantly, Virginia is a wife and mother. She and her family live in Jones with plenty of space for their two dogs to roam. Outside of work, she loves to spend her time reading, playing sports with her son, and landscaping her home.

Vanita Ehling, Senior Accountant
Vanita is our newest member of the BHB Financial Services team. She earned her Bachelor’s in Accounting from Angelo State University and specializes in all areas of her clients’ accounting and bookkeeping needs. With over 40 years of experience, Vanita has worked for and with public accounting firms, major corporations, small businesses, individuals, and non-profit organizations serving on all levels of accounting as a bookkeeper, staff accountant and controller. She is dedicated to helping her clientele with her skills in their accounting and software needs. Vanita is an expert in QuickBooks Desktop & Quickbooks Online and can set up new clients, train staff, and provide monthly services including payroll and bookkeeping.

Emily, Administrative Support
As a dedicated assistant at BHB Financial, Emily brings a wealth of ideas and a strong commitment to providing tailored financial solutions to our clients. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for organization, Emily plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our team.
Beyond her professional achievements, Emily is also a devoted mother to her son. She expertly balances the demands of family and career, using her strong organizational skills and determination to thrive both in the workplace and at home. Her ability to manage multiple responsibilities with grace and efficiency is a testament to her work ethic and dedication.
At BHB Financial, Emily is known for her integrity, compassion, and the personal touch she brings to every client interaction. Her commitment to excellence, both professionally and personally, makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
When outside of the office, Emily spends most of her time playing with her son, working on aquariums, and spending time with family. She is also an active member of many car clubs, her other passion. She spent many years in different retail environments, which has helped her navigate customer interaction with confidence and joy!
